Living
robots created as scientists turn frog cells into "entirely new life-forms"
Xenobiotic:
These are xenobiotic, the
world’s first living robots build using dead frog cells.
These biological machines
have been building built completely from scratch.
Under the microscope, the
cells are altered to closely mimic..
The
design specified by the computer.
Researchers are hopeful they
could be programmed to scrape away plaque from arteries or remove toxic micro
plastics from oceans.
Some were built with a hole
through the Centre, in which drugs could be placed.
So they could be carried to
specific parts of the body.
Being alive means they can
replicate and repair themselves of damaged or torn.
And when they have finished their job they become dead skin cells.
